Prof. J.A Odedire

Prof. John Adeolu Odedire is an Associate Professor (Reader) in the Department of Animal Sciences, OAU. He holds a PhD [Animal Science] from the University of Ibadan. He is a Registered Animal Scientist and a Fellow of the Israeli MASHAV. Dr. Odedire is a member of many professional associations such as the Animal Science Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Society for Animal Production, World Rabbit Science Association, Sub – Saharan Africa, Society for Grassland Research & Development in Nigeria and the International Goat Association, USA. Dr. Odedire has over 35 publications to his credit. His current research activities include: Climate change mitigation through rumen ecosystem manipulation; Adaptation of forage hydroponics to local tropical environments; Incorporation of lesser known forage species in ruminant livestock nutrition; and The Development of a Smart Nutrition System for Ruminant livestock.
